Laura Miller

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Laura Quebedeau Miller, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the St. Landry Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery. The Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass and the altar servers will be John Michael Miller and Sean Elliot Briley.

Laura Miller, age 80, who was born in Grand Coteau and was a resident of Opelousas, died on Monday, February 03, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Miller was a talented artist who loved to create oil paintings and ceramic pieces. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Deacon John W. Miller of Opelousas, LA sons, Carl Daniel Miller and wife Teresa Kellogg Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joseph Curtis Miller and Jeannette Berzas Miller of Eunice, LA, and John David Miller and wife Julie Templet Miller of Gonzalez, LA daughter, Nancy Ann Briley and husband Paul Elliot Briley of Opelousas, LA brother, Russell James Quebedeau of Eunice, LA grandchildren, Stacy Deili and husband Nick, Carl Daniel Miller, II, Dr. Jennifer Elizabeth Miller, Theresa Nicole Miller Ortego, and husband Michael Ortego, Joseph Curtis Miller, II and wife Danielle Renaud Miller, Joshua Thomas Miller and wife Malory Barras Miller, John Michael Miller, Kalera Miller, Johnnie Blair Miller, Angela Diane Briley, Christopher Paul Briley and wife Linda Cruise Briley, Adam Michael Briley and Sean Elliot Briley and 21 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andre Jerry Quebedeau and Azeme LeGrange Quebedeau brother, Jessie Quebedeau sisters, Evelyn Broussard, Estelle Lormand, and Doris Sustman.

Pallbearers will be Carl Daniel Miller, Carl Daniel Miller, II, Russell J. Quebedeau, Paul Briley, John David Miller and Joshua Thomas Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Ortego and Adam Michael Briley.

Visitation will be held in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, from 4:00 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A Rosary will be lead by Deacon Dwayne Joubert at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
