Lawtell - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lacie Marie McMillan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, La. Father Darren Eldridge and Father Ted Broussard will concelebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal will follow at St. Bridget Church Cemetery.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lacie Marie McMillan, age 6, on Monday, July 19, 2021.

Lacie was a loving and happy girl.  She loved riding in the "side by side", playing outside, eating, and "swiping" pictures on cell phones.  She enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows Baby Shark, Bluey and Cocomelon.  Lacie had a vivid imagination, loved all colors, dressing up and wearing princess headbands.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived her parents, Derek Joseph McMillan and Logan Kathleen Boudreaux of Opelousas, La.; her twin sister, Macie Claire McMillan; her grandparents, Deacon Dwayne and Diane Brasseaux Boudreaux of Leonville, La., Joseph Glenn McMillan of Church Point, La. and Erika Savoy McMillan of Church Point, La. and her Godparents, Blanche Boudreaux of Arnaudville, La. and Dustin Mathews of Opelousas, La. and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, in the St. Bridget Catholic Church Hall (located at 3933 Highway 35 Opelousas, LA 70570) from 9:30 a.m. (open all night) until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021.  A rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.
