Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Kevin Blane Robert, age 43, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held at the Vandenburg Cemetery in St. Landry, LA. Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, October 13, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:15 p.m.

Mr. Robert, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died on Saturday, October 8, 2016.

Kevin loved riding horses and especially enjoyed going on trail rides. He also loved sac-a-lait fishing. Kevin was always there to lend a helping hand and loved to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Wilton Joseph Robert and his wife, Agnes; his mother Molly Benoit Stelly; his sons, Kolin Blane Robert, Brennan Kyle Robert; his daughter, Taylor Robert Goodwin and husband, Larance and their son, Maddox Goodwin; his brothers, Michael Todd Robert, Brandon Scott Robert; his sisters, Kimberly Bernard and husband, James and Rachel Ann Richard and husband, Roy.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tricia Ardoin and his grandchild, Liam Goodwin.

Pallbearers will be Michael Todd Robert, Kolin Blane Robert, Brennan Kyle Robert and A.J. Robert.
