Kelly’s work ethic, inherited from her parents, was admired by all that knew her.

Kelly's spirit was as vibrant as her interests. She had a deep love for travel, with her fondest memories originating from cherished trips to the beach, particularly memorable adventures with friends to Key West. Beyond her travels, she found joy in cooking, often bringing warmth to her home by dancing in the kitchen as she prepared meals for her friends. Her creative side shone through in her passion for painting, where she expressed herself through color and artistry. Additionally, Kelly was known to enjoy nights in, often captivated by her favorite television show, Shark Tank, where she reveled in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Kelly is survived by her parents, Alan T. Amy and Gail Marino Amy; her sister, Kimberly Amy Brannon and her husband, Charles (Chuck) Brannon; her niece, Esme Margaret Brannon; her godparents, Richard G. Lucito and Judith Richard Lucito; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert Earl Amy and Zula Moreau Amy and her maternal grandparents, John Marino, Jr. and Pearl Brasseur Marino.

Kelly was blessed to have special friends in her life. Recently 20 or so friends were able to throw Kelly a surprise 42nd birthday brunch in August. The family has really enjoyed getting to know all of you, and we thank you for bringing so much love, compassion, and fun into Kelly’s life. All the special memories of Kelly you have shared with the family warmed our hearts and were very much appreciated.

There were so many friends, friends of friends, family members, co-workers, all that offered up prayers on behalf of Kelly. There are too many of you to name, but the family greatly appreciates each and every one of you, and the kind words, compassion, and especially the prayers.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Zoe Larned, Dr. Kate Castle, Dr. Marcus Ware, Dr. Michael Cain, Allison Bertrand NP, Dr. Perri Prellop and all the other amazing health professionals that helped with Kelly's care over the past years.

The family would also like to thank all the nurses at St. Joseph Carpenter House for keeping Kelly pain-free in her final days. Your kindness, support, and education of the family were very much appreciated.

As we remember Kelly, let us celebrate her life, her passions, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A special thank you to Father James Brady, Father Millard Boyer, and all clergy, deacons and religious laity who visited Kelly at Ochsner Hospital New Orleans, Ochsner Hospital Lafayette, St. Joseph Carpenter House Lafayette, and Sister Dulce Maria with Cypress Springs Prayer Center.
