Kathleen Stagg

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Kathleen Marie Stagg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at St. Landry Catholic Church. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of committal will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Stagg, age 70, died on Friday, October 17, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System.

Kathleen was a graduate of AIC and then attended college at U.S.L. receiving her Bachelor of Science and Education Degree and continued her education and earned her Masters of Library Science Degree from L.S.U. She was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School System for over 20 years and also worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system as a special education teacher. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Anne Stagg, of Opelousas, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Thomas Stagg and Loretta Bourgeois Stagg.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
