Karlin Babineaux

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018 for Karlin Marie Babineaux in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Father Austin Leger will officiate the Catholic service. A Baptist service will be held at 12:00 p.m. by Brother Greg Gaspard. Burial will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery in Lawtell.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.

Karlin Marie Babineaux, age 60 and a resident of Lawtell, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Karlin worked in the home health industry for over 25 years. She was a dedicated caregiver. Karlin was an active member of Unity Baptist Church, as well as, Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and her special dog, Blinky. Karlin loved visiting with her family and friends; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her brother, Darell Babineaux of Lawtell; sister, Janice B. Lafleur (Bobby) of Lawtell; nieces, Shannon Robinson (Joseph), Anna Walker (Brett), Annettra Davis, Daphanie Jewett (Dave), Amber Vallot (Chris) and Annique Pickett (Ashlyn); nephews, Derek Babineaux (Amanda) and Kirk Bergeron, II.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Hassa Babineaux; sister, Carolyn Ann Babineaux; and niece, Dinah Babineaux.
