Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Judith Young Marks at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas, La. Reverend Perry Hubbs will conduct the service. Burial will be held at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Richard, La.

Mrs. Marks, age 75, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Senior Village Nursing Home.

Judith was a switchboard operator for South Central Bell and retired from Lafayette General Health System. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her daughter, Margaret Marks of Houston, Texas her uncle, Father Wilson Matt of New Iberia, La. her sisters, Lorraine Young Williams and husband Jim of Humble, Texas Mary Beth Bullara and husband, Vincent of Opelousas, La. Jeannie Dupre and husband, Mike of Carencro, La. her nephew, Vinnie Bullara and wife, Cammie her nieces, Rachel Dupre and Jennifer Dupre two greatnephews and one greatniece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Edward Young and Jeannette Matt Young and a baby sister, Dorothy Young.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until service time.
