Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jude Brandon Whipp at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Reverend Mark Ledoux will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Brandon, age 40, a native of Opelousas, LA and a resident of Ashland, Ohio, died on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Brandon was a sweet soul who loved his family. He grew up hunting and crawfishing with his brothers and hanging out with his sister. His love for his siblings extended to their children. Brandons love for his extended family was surpassed only by his fatherly love for his daughter, Madison. She was his number one priority, greatest love and most amazing achievement. Daily care for Brandon was provided by his loving inlaws, Reta and Bill Hickok, along with his wife, Angie, and daughter, Madison. The Whipp family is forever indebted to these wonderful people for their years of Christian service and love. Brandon will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors are his wife, Angela Whipp, of Ashland, Ohio his mother, Mildred Broussard Whipp, of Opelousas, LA his daughter, Madison Paige Whipp, of Ashland, Ohio his brothers, Neal Whipp and wife, Kathy, of Opelousas, LA Kent Whipp and wife, Bessie, of Lafayette, LA and Troy Whipp and wife, Lisa, of Opelousas, LA and his sister, Lisa W. Perridon and husband, Timothy, of Opelousas, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bonneal Whipp, Sr.

Visiting will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family to offset medical expenses.
