Jude Devillier

Opelousas Services for Jude Craig Devillier, age 49, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, in the First Baptist Church in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, La. The Reverend Perry Hubbs will conduct the service.

Mr. Devillier, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Craig enjoyed watching and playing football and especially enjoyed being with his family, church and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Nella Brown Devillier, of Opelousas, La. his daughter, Montana Devillier Weaver and husband, Christopher Robert Weaver, of Opelousas, La. his brothers, Allen Devillier and wife, Cheryl, of Lafayette, La. Donald Devillier and wife, Dina, of Greenwell Springs, La. David Devillier and wife, Sharon, of Opelousas, La. his brothersinlaw, Kenneth Courville and wife, Susan, of Opelousas, La. David Gautreaux and wife, Cindy, of Angelton, Texas William Brown of Opelousas, La. Niven Brown and wife, Lisa, of Opelousas, La. his sisterinlaw, Katherine McBride and husband, Denny, of Old Hickory, Tennessee and his motherinlaw, Louise Gautreaux Brown of Opelousas, La. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Kensley Rae Weaver of Opelousas, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newman Numa and Beulah Devillier and his fatherinlaw, Allen Ray Robert Brown.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until service time.
