Joyce Leblanc

Opelousas - Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Benoit Leblanc will be on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 11:00AM followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Bienvenu will conduct the services.

Mrs. Leblanc, age 71, a resident of Opelousas, died on January 30, 2008 at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Mrs. Leblanc is survived by her husband, Roland L. Leblanc of Opelousas, a daughter, Jennifer Vidrine Dupre and her husband Michael of Washington and a brother Manuel Benoit and his wife, Thelma of Opelousas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Devan Dupre Dunbar and husband, Donnie of Opelousas and also Brandon Dupre and fianc Andrea Buffy Carroll of Washington and a great-granddaughter, Avery Artigue of Opelousas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Anna Bell Lalond Benoit and her fist husband, Clyde E. Vidrine.

Mrs. Leblanc was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She also loved playing bingo.

Visitation will be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas on Friday, February 1, 2008, from 2:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00PM.
