Joyce Lagrange

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Joyce Bodin Lagrange at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the service. Burial will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Mrs. Lagrange, age 79, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Friday, March 28, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was a member of the Opelousas Pilot Club. She worked at J.W. Lows, Howard Brothers, Anthonys and Stage Department Stores. She was an Army wife for 20 years living and traveling in the U.S. and Germany. In her spare time, she enjoyed making cakes. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her husband, of 63 years, Irvin Big One Lagrange, of Opelousas, La. her two sons, Glenn Lagrange and wife, Pat, of Tampa, FL Kevin Lagrange of Largo, FL and her two daughters, Karen Cox and husband, Larry, of Lafayette, La. and Lori Leger and husband, Dino, of Palmetto, La. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and one step greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilian and Louise Benoit Bodin.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
