Joseph "Jerry" Delafosse

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jerry L. Delafosse at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Church.  Rite of Committal will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will celebrate the Mass.

Mr. Jerry, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was a loving, husband, father and grandfather. He loved telling jokes and keeping his family and friends laughing. He also enjoyed camping and constantly working on various projects. He retired from the Daily World after twenty-three years, and Transco after twenty years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, being surrounded by the ones he loved the most. He will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.

He is survived by his son Ronny Delafosse and wife Debbie Delafosse of Ville Platte, La. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Delafosse, his daughter Lisa Formeller, and by his parents Jimmy and Anna Bell Delafosse

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 11:00 a.m. Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, La at 2:00 p.m.
