Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joseph Joe N. Wyble, on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Landry Catholic Church followed by the Rite of Committal in the Church Cemetery. The Reverend James Brady will Celebrate the Mass.
Joseph Joe N. Wyble, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2012 in Fort Myers. Joe was born in Opelousas, LA. He was a long time resident of Fort Myers, Florida.
Joe served in the United States Navy, was a member of the Ft. Myers Beach Florida Rotary Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe lived a life filled with generosity, kindness, laughter, travels and friends. He enjoyed attending the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall with many of his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Wyble and Ella Collins Wyble of Opelousas, LA, his sister, Gladys Wyble Diebold, her husband Vernon, his nephew, Wayne Diebold Frank Burleigh, husband of his sister Verna Burleigh.
Survivors are his sister, Verna W. Burleigh of Opelousas, LA, his nephews, Raymond Burleigh and Michael Burleigh of Opelousas, his nieces, Barbara Bihm of Krotz Springs, LA, Patricia Jenkins of Baton Rouge, LA, Sandy Castille of Lafayette, LA, and Carolyn Diebold Dill of Pineville, LA He is also survived by numerous great nephews, great nieces, and greatgreat nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to offer a special note of thanks to those who made Joes life so wonderful: Louise Stevens of Ft. Myers, FL, Robert Richardson of Ft. Myers, FL Cindy Mulroy of Ft. Myers, FL and the residents of Greengate Condominiums and numerous other friends who meant so much to him.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 11:00 a.m.
