JOSEPH McDUFF McMILLAN

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph McDuff McMillan, will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 10:00AM at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas and interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Mr. McMillan, age 89, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Ville Platte Medical Center. He was a U.S. Postal employee, was also employed by Bulk Terminal in New Orleans. He retired from Topco in Bridge City, TX. After his retirement he moved back to the Opelousas area and made his home in Prairie Rhonde.

He is survived by his sons; Donald McMillan and his wife Linda of Poplarville, MS. and Wayne McMillan and his wife Renetta of Pine Prairie, La., his step-son; Robert Hargroder and his wife Barbara of San Antonio TX., his daughters; Jacqueline Caton of Opelousas, Diane Romeo and her husband Michael of Baton Rouge and Marilyn Chachere and her husband Robert D. of Opelousas, his step-daughters; Betty Biebiger of San Antonio Tx., Roma Eslick of Nashville TN. and Berdie Marrs and her husband Duane of Nashville TN. a brother; Edward McMillan of Houston, TX., and his sisters; Sister Joan McMillan of Opelousas, Melba Britt and her husband Dale of Opelousas and Dorothy Ortego and her husband Ralph also of Opelousas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren

Mr. McMillan was preceded in death by his wife Hermina McMillan and his parents; Josephine Richard and Neil McMillan.

The family has requested that visitation be observed on today, Thursday, from 3:00PM to 8:00PM and will continue on Friday, from 8:00AM till time of service. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:00PM
