JOSEPH ANTHONY MADDIE

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Anthony Joe Joe Maddie will be held at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Melville at 1:00PM, Friday, August 25th, 2006 with interment at the church cemetery. The Rev. Mike Guidry and The Rev. James Nguyen will conduct the services.

Mr. Maddie, 74, died Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006 at Senior Village Nursing Home. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and was an usher at St. Johns Catholic Church. He was also a farmer.

He is survived by his wife Bernice D. Maddie of Melville, his sons; Joseph and his wife Denise Maddie of Crowley, Ronnie and his wife Barbara Maddie of Big Cane and Dannie and his wife Diane Maddie of Port Barre, his daughters; Sharon and her husband Marvin Nash of Port Barre and Bridget and her husband Dewitt Sylvester of Melville, his sister Rosie Monistere of Denham Springs, La. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren.

Mr. Maddie was preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Idenzia Maria Polotozola Maddie, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Visitation was observed on Thursday, from 5:00PM to 11:00PM and will continue today from 8:00AM till time of service. A rosary was recited on Thursday at 7:00PM
