Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Nookie LeBlanc will be held in Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 1:00pm. The interment will be in St. Anthonys Mausoleum. The Rev. Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Nookie , age 72, died on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of the Carpenters local 1098 and served in the U.S. army. He retired from Valero Oil Refinery.

He is survived by his wife; Norma Valin LeBlanc of Krotz Springs, a son; Harry Nolan and his wife Bernadette of Krotz Springs, daughters; Kim Peake and her husband Mark of Krotz Springs and Tonia Bergeron and her husband Daren of Livonia, brothers; Eddie LeBlanc and his wife Sheryl of Krotz Springs, Irvin Doo LeBlanc and his wife Yong of Baker and Harvey LeBlanc and his wife Sandra of Krotz Springs, a sister; Patsy Bennett and her husband Ray of Pineville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Mary Marks LeBlanc and a sister; Helen Muse.

The pallbearers will be; Leighton Bergeron, Derreck Fontenot, Jacob Nolan, Carter Peake, Hervey Moran, Gene Leger, Chris Johnson, honorary pallbearers are Eddie LeBlanc, Irvin Doo LeBlanc, Harvey LeBlanc, Raymond Moran and Sidney Bennett.

The family has requested that visitation will be at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs on Sunday, February 10, 2008 from 2:00pm to 10:00pm and will continue on Monday from 8:00am until the time of service.
