Joseph Kidder

Leonville - A funeral service will be held for Joseph "Ronnie" Kidder, age 64, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA with visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the services. Burial will take place at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Cemetery.

Ronnie, a resident of Arnaudville, LA, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his residence.

Ronnie worked offshore as a roughneck for many years. In his spare time, he loved building race cars. He also enjoyed going to drag races. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Kidder, of 29 years; his sons, Shiloh Kidder and wife, Jennifer; Jordi Olivier and wife, Jessica; Carlo Olivier and fiancé, Keisha Broussard; his daughter, Tabatha Kidder; his brother, Earl Kidder and his sister, Merle Miller and his niece, Melissa Brown and husband, Kurt. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jasmine Olivier, Talen Olivier and Matthew Kidder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Celanie and Maue Kidder and his nephew, Earl "Bubba" Kidder, Jr.
