Joseph Fruge

Morrow A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph J.L. Fruge, age 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the St. Peter Catholic Church in Morrow, La., followed by interment in the St. Catherine Church Cemetery in Rosa, La. Father Mike Guidry will conduct the mass.

Mr. Fruge, who was a resident of Lemoine, La., died on Monday, July 18, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System.

Joseph enjoyed camping and restoring classic cars. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons, Brady Fruge and wife, Kathy, of Rosa, La. Jerome Fruge of Lemoine, La. his brother, Roland Fruge of Plaucheville, La. and his sister, Lola Fruge of Rosa, La. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nova Jane Fontenot Fruge his daughter, Cathy Jane Fruge his parents, Lester Joseph and Bathile Dupre Fruge his sisters, Anna Lee Chelette and Rowena Mystric and his brother, George Fruge.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
