Joseph Dupre

Opelousas-Services for Mr. Joseph Jessie Dupre, age 86, will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. with interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Father Jerry Messley will conduct the funeral service.

Mr. Dupre worked in the building maintenance for the Orleans Parish School System. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served in the European Theater where he received the Purple Heart Medal.

He is survived by his brothers, Otis Dupre of Plaisance, La.; Donald Dupre of Opelousas, La.; his sisters, Emma D. Stelly of Opelousas, La.; Laura D. Lafleur of Ville Platte, La. and Mercedes D. Bihm of Opelousas, La.

BRMr. Dupre is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Elmire Dupre; his brothers, Clarence Dupre; Marius Dupre; his sisters, Mae D. Roberie; Yvonne D. Ledoux and Mary Jane D. Fontenot.

Visitation will be observed on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
