Joseph Devillier

Funeral services for Joseph Jessie Devillier will be held on Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 10:00 am at the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Fr. Wayne Douet will conduct the services.

Mr. Devillier a resident of Krotz Springs, age 94 died Saturday January 22, 2011 at Tri Community Nursing Home in Palmetto. He worked with Brown and Root and was a manager at Krotz Springs Lumber and a member of the Breaux Bridge VFW.

He is survived by his wife Rose Andrus Weigenbacher Devillier of Krotz Springs, son Roy Devillier of Lafayette, step sons Brian Weigenbacher of Coral Springs, Fl., Glenn Weigenbacher and his wife Laurie of Metairie, La., brother James Devillier of Lafayette, La., 1grandchild Cynthia D. Thompson of Lafayette, La., 5 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his parents Pierre Devillier and Stella Guidry Devillier and a sister Birdie Kennison.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 24, 2011 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00am. A rosary will recited on Monday evening.
