Joseph Darbonne

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Joseph Buddy Darbonne at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Austin Leger will conduct the service. Burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Darbonne, age 75, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was under the care of Louisiana Hospice Palliative Care. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his two sisters, Gerri Baque and husband, Harold, of Opelousas, LA Kathy Fontenot and husband, Bryan, of Wasilla, Alaska four nieces, Becky Roy and husband, Ricky, of Toledo Bend, LA Leara Baque of Lafayette, LA Melody Darbonne Gilcrease of Carencro, LA Marti Simon and husband, Chad, of Carencro, LA five nephews, Randy Baque and wife, Pam, of Port Neches, TX Kevin Darbonne and wife, Francine, of LeBlanc, LA Doug Burdick and wife, Brenda, of Anchorage, Alaska Lony Burdick and wife, Rhonda, of Redmond, WA Adrien Tucker and wife, Violette, of Seattle, WA fifteen greatnieces and nephews and nine greatgreat nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre and Hilda Darbonne his sister, Burnella Fruge his brother, Hubert Darbonne his nieces, Toni and Patti Andrus and his nephews, Jody John Darbonne, Barth Eric Burdick.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, November 28, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until service time at 11:00 a.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
