Joseph Cox

Krotz Springs - Funeral services for will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the Grace Community Lighthouse Church. Reverend Rocky Warden will conduct the service.  Burial will take place in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Grace Community Lighthouse Church located at 9195 Hwy 105, Krotz Springs, LA.

Joseph was a past resident of Krotz Springs and was currently residing in Jennings.  He passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Jennings American Legion Hospital at the age of 92.

He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country.  He was a carpenter for many years until his retirement.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting, fishing, and catch crawfish.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by one sister, Nancy McEwen of Pennsylvania; his daughter-in-law, Nancy Kimble; his stepson, Freddie Rodriguez and wife, Avelina of El Paso, TX; his step-grandchildren, Tim Kimble and wife, Amy, Cynthia Warden and husband, Rocky, Tammy Wiltz and husband, Vincent, Albert Kimble, Julia Kimble, Jenny Kimble, Virginia Kimble, Albert (Lydia) Kimble, Manuel (Sara Polanco) Torrez, Izaiah Kimble Gutierrez, Elijah Kimble Gutierrez, Virginia Kimble, Julia (Kevin) Edmonds, Jenny (Brian) Bentley,Freddie Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Andy (Lesli) Rodriquez, Annette Rodriguez and his special friend, Brad Polotzola.  He is also survived by numerous step-great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his dog, Lucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Kimble Cox; his parents, John Byron Cox and Audrey Elizabeth Troxell Cox; his stepsons, Willie Kimble and Wilson Kimble, Sr.; Sisters, Jean Mardell Cox Wilson, Mary Louise Cox Sweitzer, and Doris Cox Garber; brother, Calvin C. Cox; step grandchildren, Joseph Kimble; Willie D. Kimble; Wilson Kimble, Jr. and Alfonso Rivas; great-grandchildren, Carmen Kimble and Peter Garcia; and great-great-grandson, Parker Aube'.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Kimble, Ryan Warden, Ben Wiltz, Josh Kimble, Matthew Kimble and Brad Polotzola.
