It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Bradley Lanclos, age 91, on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Carpenter House in Lafayette, La.

Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War where he became a Staff Drill Sergeant.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years.  He belonged to several organizations and was a member of the Masons, the Knights of Columbus, and Corp of Engineers Local Union 406.  He enjoyed being outdoors.  He loved gardening, cutting grass, and cutting his neighbor’s grass (because he liked it so much)!  Joseph was a very a talented and skilled guitar player.  He loved listening to country music and cooking anything Cajun, especially gumbo.  Most of all, he loved being around his family.  He will be dearly missed by all knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Anne Mavis Lanclos; his son, Andre’ “Lance” Lanclos and wife, Wendy; his daughters, Gwen Faye Lanclos and Paul, Patricia Leger and husband, Tommy, Jana Lanclos and Margaret Lanclos and his sister, Mary Lou Brooks and husband, Bobby.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, Craig Moran, II (Jessica Nall), Alaina Lanclos and Kailey Lanclos and two great-grandchildren, Allie Moran and Kain Moran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Lanclos, Jr., and Odette Rivette Lanclos; his brother, Howard Lanclos and his sister, Velma David.
