Joseph Bordelon

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic for Mr. Joseph Burnley Bordelon. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.

Mr. Bordelon who was a native of Washington and a resident of Opelousas died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at his residence.

He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He also loved woodworking and gardening. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Runnie Fontenot Bordelon of Opelousas sons, Brian Bordelon and wife Jackie of Ville Platte, LA and Kent Bordelon and wife Julia of Opelousas a daughter, Lynn Bordelon of Opelousas brother, Mainard Bordelon of Opelousas 7 grandchildren, Heather Bordelon, Travis Bordelon, Nicole Bordelon, Suzanne Bordelon Pitre, Spencer Comb, Logan Comb and Madison Comb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Paul Bordelon and Aline Soileau Bordelon and one brother, Curry Bordelon.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas from 4:009:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by an Elks Lodge service.
