Joseph Ardoin, Jr.

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Joseph A. Ardoin, Jr., age 82, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the church cemetery in Krotz Springs, La. The Reverend Lee Haley and Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the service.

Mr. Ardoin, a resident of Gonzales, La., died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, La.

Joseph served his country in the U.S Navy, was a member of the Insulators Union Local 53 and was a member of the V.F.W. Local Port Barre Post 334. He also was an avid hunter who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Burns Ardoin of Gonzales, La. his sons, Cholla Ardoin and wife, Ellen, of Gibsland, La. Phillip Ardoin of Prairieville, La. Kynon Ardoin and wife, Cherie, of Prairieville, La. his daughter, Crystal A. Haley and husband, Lee, of Prairieville, La. his brother, Gilbert Ardoin of Baton Rouge, La. and his sister, Rexie Little of Krotz Springs, La. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Ardoin, Sr. and Aca Jefferies Ardoin his son, Gregory Ardoin and his sister, Catherine Williamson.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, beginning on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church until service time.
