JOHNELL RED FOX: STERMER

Funeral services for Johnell Red Fox Stermer will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs with interment at the church cemetery. Rev. Chad Belfar will conduct the services.

Mr. Stermer, 72, a resident of Krotz Springs, died at his residence in Krotz Springs, Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2006. He was a retired Pile driver and was a member of the Local Union 1098.

He is survived by his wife; Connie Stermer of Krotz Springs, 1 brother; Wayne Stermer, 1 sister; Elizabeth Stermer, 4 daughters; Darlene Barker, Mona Pierce and Genever Hudson all of Krotz Springs and Elvina Hicks of Melville. step-children; Mary Devillier, Johnny OConner, Gail Duvall, Charlene OConner, George Disotell and James Ellis all of Krotz Springs, Chester OConner and Dana Ellis of Melville and Magleen Lajeune of Maringouin La. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Corinne Barker Stermer, step-sons; Kermit OConner and Patrick Alvin OConner, step-daughter; Rose West OConner, his first wife; Ella Mae Dupuis Stermer, his sisters; Lorinne Ellis, Elvina Higdon and Joyce Babineaux and his brothers; Raymond, Louis, Alvin and Benjamin Stermer.

Pall-bearers will be Gerald Duvall Jr, Mitchell Stermer, Michael Stermer, Josh Evans, Jacob Evans, Derick OConner, James Ellis and Ray OConner.

Visitation will be observed on Wednesday 5:00PM till time of service on Thursday.
