John Young

Krotz Springs- Funeral services for John Michael Young, age 32, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Pastor Chad Bolfa will conduct the services. A graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Duke who was a resident of Krotz Springs, died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at his residence.

He was proud to serve his country as a United States Marine.

He is survived by his parents, John Wayne Young and wife Elizabeth Sue Young of Baker and Kathleen Stermer Ellis and husband Dale of Erwinville; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Anna Mae Stermer; his fianc, Rebecca Hargrave of Krotz Springs; two brothers, Christopher Bryant Young and wife Laney of Krotz Springs and Nicholas Alexander Ellis of Erwinville; sister, Racheal Dawn Young of Sunset; a godchild, Blaire Reese Young; nephews, Brandon Louis Jacque and Christopher Blake Broussard; a niece, Ashley Nichole Broussard and the love of his life and faithful friend, his basset hound, Eliza.

John is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille Young Artigue and Sweeney Artigue, Rudolph Young and Loretta Stermer.

Visiting hours will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 and will continue all night until service time.
