John Robert Ledoux

Opelousas - Funeral services for John Robert Ledoux, age 48, will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Landry Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Rev. Paul Metrejean will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

John Ledoux, a native and resident of Opelousas, died at 3:45 p.m. on April 21, 2008 at his residence.

John was an avid horse racing fan. He was a good son and brother. He was always there for his family. He will be missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him.

Mr. Ledoux was survived by his brothers, Frank Dean Ledoux and his wife, Jennifer T. Ledoux, of Opelousas; James Kenneth Ledoux and his wife, Olga B. Ledoux, of Harvey, Louisiana; George Wiltz Ledoux and his wife, Stephanie C. Ledoux, of Baton Rouge; his sisters, Dianne Leonard and her husband, Guy W. Leonard, of Baton Rouge; and Carolyn L. Grant and her husband, Richard M. Grant, of Woodworth, Louisiana. He was also survived by three nephews, six nieces and his Aunt Velma J. Cazes.

Mr. Ledoux was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Willie Ledoux, Jr. and Betty Joyce Cazes Ledoux.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will re-open on Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
