John Hargroder

Opelousas - A prayer service and rosary will be held for John Johnnie B. Hargroder, age 55, on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Deacon Ulysse Joubert will perform the prayer service and rosary.

Mr. Hargroder, a resident of Lafayette, La. died on Monday, June 22, 2009 in Lafayette, La.

Mr. Hargroder is survived by his wife, Carol Makke of Lafayette, La.; his son, Jonathan Hargroder of Lafayette, La.; his daughters, Ashley Hargroder Caillier and Tiffany Hargroder both of Opelousas, La. He is also survived by three brothers, James Jimmy Hargroder of Opelousas, La.; Jerome Jay Hargroder and wife Connie of Waynesboro, VA; Jude Hargroder and wife Deneen of Opelousas, La. and his sister-in-law, Betty Hargroder of Leonville, La. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Ayanna Hargroder, Deacon Caillier and Gaberiel Hargroder.

Mr. Hargroder was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Helen Hargroder; his brother, Joseph Joe Hargroder and one son, Christopher Hargroder.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
