John Guillory

Opelousas - Funeral services for John Guillory will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Reverend James Brady will conduct the services. Interment will take place at a later date in Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Mr. Guillory, age 74, died on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Guillory loved being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whom loved him dearly.

He is survived by his sons, Nelton Guillory of New Iberia, LA, Brody Guillory and wife Juanita of Opelousas, LA; his daughter, Melissa Mixon and husband Henry of New Iberia, LA; his brother, Nock Guillory of Ville Platte, LA; his 11 grand-children and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Golbert and Mable Guillory; his brothers, Dea, Alfred, and Nelton Guillory; and his sisters, Virginia Broussard and Lou Ella Ruffino.

The family has requested visitation be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
