John Deville

Port BarreFuneral services for John Tally Deville, age 78, will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Nicky Trahan will conduct the services.

Survivors include his son, Darryl Deville of Port Barre, La.; his daughters, Donner D. Edwards and her husband, Larry, of Washington, La.; Lillie McLaney of Sulphur, La.; his sister, Rose Burleigh and husband, Charles, of Sunset, La.; his step-father, Pierre Martin and his grandchildren, Cory Jacob Vidrine, Darryl Deville, Jr., Samantha Deville, Christopher Deville, Mandy Benoit and April Tate.

Mr. Deville was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Andrus Deville; his parents, Dolzie and Amelie Guillory Deville; his brother, Joseph Junior Deville and two grandchildren, Scotty Michael Vidrine and Michael Shane Murphy.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, September 4, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009 until time of service. A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
