John Bordelon

Opelousas-A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for John Laris Bordelon will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2020, at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA.  Father Kevin Bordelon will celebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Mr. Bordelon, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA.

John was a faithful parishioner of St. Landry Catholic Church for many years.  He worked as a welder offshore for many years.  The last 15 years, he was an automobile dealer selling cars.  John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, John Daniel Bordelon of Opelousas, LA; his brothers, James Ervin Bordelon, Alta Ray Bordelon and wife, Patricia; and Ernest David Bordelon all of Ville Platte, LA.  He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Mitchell Bordelon; his parents, Elter George Bordelon and Della Ortego Bordelon; his sister, Janell B. Pitre; and his sister-in-law, Ruth Bordelon.
