John Armand

Opelousas Funeral services for John Stacey Armand, age 50, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Sammi Diesi will conduct the funeral service.

Stacey, who was a native and lifelong resident of Opelousas, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

Stacey was an avid sportsman, whether playing tennis, fishing or hunting he excelled at whatever he was involved. He was a wonderful son, brother, and father who was beloved by all of his nieces and nephew. Stacey was everyones friend and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his mother, Bonita Ortego Armand daughters, Celeste A. Stelly and husband Justin, Mallory Armand, and Heidi Locke special companion, Annette Brisco brothers, Randy Armand and wife Julie, Dale Armand and wife Cathy, Kelly Armand and wife Kilie, Malachy Armand and Clay Armand and wife Becky.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl E. Armand and his brother Larry Luke Armand.

Pallbearers will be his brothers, Randy, Dale, Kelly, Malachy, and Clay Armand and his nephew Riki Armand.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
