JOHANNA MESSINA JENNY GENNUSO

Funeral services for Mrs.Johanna Messina Jenny Gennuso will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9,2006 at 11AM at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church with interment at The Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum. Msgr Louis Melancon will conduct the services.

Mrs. Gennuso, 95, died Wednesday at St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas.

She is survived by 2 sons; Sal Chubby Gennuso and his wife Jean Frank of Baton Rouge and Stephen J. Gennuso of Lafayette, 1 daughter Beatrice Bea G. Pefferkorn and her husband Dale of Opelousas, a brother; Charlie G. Messina of Beaumont TX and a sister; Pearl Cascio of Beaumont TX. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren 19 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Santo Gennuso, sisters; Lena Ricotta and Mary Macalousa, 3 brothers; Lawrence, Anthony and Gerlando Messina and her parents, Joseph Salvador and Francesco Dijohnna Messina.

The pallbearers will be; Greg, Doug and Michael Pefferkorn, Daniel Dennis, Rick Castille and Steven J. Gennuso.

Special thanks to the staff of St. Clare Manor and St. Joseph Hospice for their wonderful care and love that they gave Ms. Jenny.

The family has requested that visitation be observed on Friday, from 3PM until 8:30PM and will continue on Saturday from 8AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited Friday at 7PM.
