Joan "Dannie" Ardoin

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joan "Dannie" Roberie Ardoin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen and Deacon Sammy Diesi will concelebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joan "Dannie" Roberie Ardoin, age 63, on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Dannie loved taking care of her grandchildren, crafting, shopping, spending time with her dogs, doing puzzles and reading books.  She also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping.  Dannie was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Clifford "Cliff" Ardoin, Jr. of Carencro, La.; her sons, Corey Ardoin of Carencro, La., Drue Ardoin and wife, Brandy, of Opelousas, La.; her daughter, Halie Ardoin and companion, Robert, of Mire, La.; her sisters, Carolyn Bihm and husband, David, of Port Barre, La. and Margie Soileau and husband, John, of Carencro, La.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, Lillie Duhon, Madalyn Ardoin, Piper Duhon, Liam Duhon and Jase Ardoin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kerney Roberie; her mother, Eloise Briley Roberie Lafleur and her brother, Terron Roberie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. by Deacon Sammy Diesi.  The funeral home will reopen on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Corey Ardoin, Drue Ardoin, Robert Duhon, John Soileau, Scotty Dupre and Jerry Kidder.  Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Duhon and Jase Ardoin.
