Jimmy Roy

Funeral services for Jimmy Creighton Roy will be held on Monday September 17, 2012 at 10:00am at the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the services.

Mr. Roy, age 61, a resident of Opelousas was born on June 26, 1951 and died on Saturday September 15, 2012 at 5:06 am at Opelousas General Health System. He was retired from the oilfield as a supervisor and a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Opelousas Jaycees. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren playing baseball.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Latiolais Roy of Opelousas mother, Geraldine Pap Roy of Opelousas daughters, Crista Roy Theriot and husband Shane of Opelousas, Alaina Roy Vidrine and husband Chad of Ville Platte adopted son, Dylan E. Latiolais of Opelousas soninlaw, Sean Casse of Timpson, Texas brother, Kenneth W. Roy and wife Cheryl of Humble, Texas sister, Janis R. Landry of LaPlace and six grandchildren: Chase, Carsyn and Cade Michael Theriot, Devin and Parker Casse and Kale Vidrine.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amie Roy Casse, and also his father, Joseph ToTo Roy.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday September 16, 2012 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Monday September 17, 2012 at 8:00am until time of Services. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:00pm.
