Jewell Devillier

Krotz Springs - Funeral services will be held for Jewell "Sonny" Olide Devillier at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Brother Chad Bolfa and Brother Mike Devillier will conduct the funeral service. Interment will be held at the First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Devillier, age 77, a resident of Krotz Springs, LA, died on Friday, February 27, 2015, at his residence.

Sonny served his country proudly and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a carpenter for many years and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph Devillier of Opelousas, LA; Craig Devillier of Lafayette, LA; Donald Devillier and wife, Melissa, of Krotz Springs, LA; Michael Devillier and wife, Elizabeth, of Downsville, LA; Carl Devillier and wife, Tina, of Duson, LA; his daughters, Tanya Williams and husband, Chris, of Krotz Springs, LA; Gigi Andrus and husband, Joseph, of Greenbrier, AR; his brother, Dewey Devillier of Krotz Springs, LA and his sister, Glory Johnson of Krotz Springs, LA.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jake Devillier and wife, Lulu; Amalee Devillier; Brooke Williams Morgan and husband, Nick; Matthew Williams; Riley Andrus; Makenzie Andrus; Noah Devillier; Grace Devillier; David Devillier; Dustin Doubet; Tara Gieber and 8 great-grandchildren, Aniston Morgan, Naomi Devillier, Jackson and Bentley Gieber, Ethan, Brianna, Kyle and Keegan Doubet.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Devillier; his second wife, Mary Devillier; his parents, Joseph and Selise Devillier; his brothers, Hubert Devillier, Glynn Devillier and his sisters, Ina Claire Perkins and Patricia Devillier.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of service.

Pallbearers will be Carl Devillier, Donald Devillier, Matthew Williams, Joseph Andrus, Riley Andrus and Noah Devillier.
