Funeral services for Jerry Lynn Coates Sr., will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:30AM at Lafond Funeral Home Chapel in Krotz Springs with the interment at First Baptist Cemetery, Krotz Springs. Brother Chad Balfa will conduct the services.

He is survived by his Mother; Beatrice Coates Thompson and his step-father; Randy Thompson of Lottie, his wife; Laura Ann Coates, 1 son; Jerry Lynn Coates Jr., a daughter Brittany Ann Coates all of Lottie, brothers; Larry Wayne Coates of Krotz Springs, Johnny Lee Coates and a sister; Nellie Jane Duplechain of Lottie. He is also survived by a granddaughter; Amber Lynn Coates of Mamou.

He was preceded in death by his father Rufus Coates, and a brother; Jackie Lynn Coates.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 5:00PM till time of service.
