Jeneuse Thibodeau

Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Jeneuse Jean Thibodeaux, 91, will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2007 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.

Mr. Thibodeaux died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Lafayette General Medical Center.

Survivors include a wife, Ivel Vige Thibodeaux of Lafayette; a son, Clarence Thibodeaux and wife Patsy of Lafayette; two daughters, Linda Watters and husband Jim of Broussard and Norma Leger and husband Horace of Duson; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Mr. Jeneuse was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Josaphine Comeaux Thibodeaux; a son, Talvin Thibodeaux; two daughters, Eula Mae Dupre and Beverly Thibodeaux; five brothers, Mesman, Eurban, Wilfred, Lawrence and Walter Thibodeaux; and a sister Elina Stanford.

Visiting will be held at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 4:00-10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00a.m. on Friday. A rosary service will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday.

Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas has been entrusted with arrangements.
