Opelousas- Funeral services for Jeanne Mayeux Tatman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015, in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery. The Reverend Mike Walker, Pastor of the East Bayou Baptist Church in Lafayette, LA will conduct the service.
Jeanne Mayeux Tatman, age 50, who was a resident of Lafayette, LA, formerly of Opelousas, LA, died on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
Jeanne was a graduate of Opelousas High School and later received an Associate's Degree from the University of Phoenix. For the past 20 years, Jeanne has worked as Human Resources Director for C & C Technologies Survey Services. She was proudly serving as a board member for the Acadiana Society of Human Resources Management. At home Jeanne enjoyed crocheting, she was an avid reader and her love of animals was unsurpassed, especially her dogs, Lu-Lu, Piper and Blue. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Survivors include her loving husband of 28 years, Ronnie Tatman of Lafayette, LA; her mother, Charlotte Hamby Mayeux of Opelousas, LA; brothers, Kelly Mayeux and wife Lynn, Chris Mayeux and wife Becky all of Opelousas, LA; sisters, Rebecca Lanning and husband Mike of Shreveport, LA, Mona Woodson and husband Terry of Opelousas, LA; nephews, Patrick Lanning, Christopher Lanning, Trae Mayeux, Regan Mayeux, Brandon Mayeux, Chad Mayeux, Andy Mayeux, Ryan Woodson, and Joshua Woodson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rodney Mayeux.
Pallbearers will be Andy Mayeux, Trae Mayeux, Brandon Mayeux, Regan Mayeux, Chad Mayeux, Ryan Woodson, and Joshua Woodson. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Tatman, Patrick Lanning, and Christopher Lanning.
The family requests visiting in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Sunday, January 11, 2015, from 3:00- 10:00 p.m., with a time of reflection at 7:00 p.m. Visiting will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until service time.
