It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason Charles Borne, age 45, on Friday, April 1, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Growing up, Jason was involved in the Boy Scouts of America (Troop 165), where he earned his Eagle Scout Badge. Being a part of that is what began his love for all things outdoors, like fishing, working in the yard and on the farm. One of his favorite outdoor activities was hunting with his father, children and special friends.
Jason began working at Opelousas General Health Systems and then continued in his career at Cardiovascular Institute of the South. Later, he became the Regional Sales Manager for Cardiovascular Systems Inc. He was very dedicated and because of it, received many awards; Rookie of the Year Award and Presidents Award (2013, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020).
When not working or being outside, he enjoyed supporting and cheering on LSU sports. More than anything though, he loved spending time with his family. They were the light of his life. Jason will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lacombe Borne, of Opelousas; his parents, Phillip and Beverly Borne, of Opelousas; his sons; Trendon Blaine Borne, of Opelousas and Luke Austin Leger and his girlfriend, Hailey Madison Martinez, of Opelousas; his daughter, Ella Kate Borne, of Opelousas; his brother, Phillip Neil Borne and wife, Sandra of Garden Ridge, Texas; his sister, Gretchen Katherine Cormier and husband, Kevin of Crowley; his nephews, Phillip Seth Borne, Phillip Michael Cormier, Ryan James Martinez, Austin Martinez and Blayde Martinez; his nieces, Hannah Cormier, Anne Katherine Cormier and Myla Martinez; his great-nephew, Ellis Michael Cormier; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aldus and Verna Savoie and Charles and Nina Borne.
Pallbearers will be Trendon Borne, Luke Leger, Phillip Neil Borne, Eric Lacombe, Jared Angelle, Jerome Martinez and Dustin Quebedeaux.
