Janet Popps Comeaux

Melville - Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Popps Comeaux will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville. Rev. Russell Comeaux will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Baptist Cemetery in Melville.

Janet Comeaux, age 72, was a resident of Melville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian who passed from this life into the next on November 20, 2019, at University Hospital Clinics in Lafayette.

Janet was born in Melville, LA, where she spent the majority of her days cooking and crafting beautiful pieces of artwork (arts and crafts, paintings, crochet items, and sewn pieces) for the ones she loved. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those she left behind and enjoyed all those who have gone before.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Wilbert Ray Comeaux, Sr. ; her three children: Marlena Latiolais, Wilbert Ray Comeaux, Jr. ("Ray") and wife, Sharon; and Wilmer Joseph Comeaux ("Joey") and wife, Sheri; nine grandchildren: April Dannielle Stelly, Gavin Michael Allen Triplette, Garret Ray Houston Triplette, Travis Ganfors, David Ganfors, Raymond Joseph Comeaux ("RJ"), Bradley Ella Comeaux, Britton Avery Comeaux, and Blakely Grey Comeaux; eleven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Manuel Popps and wife, Darlene; and Russell Popps and wife, Gloria; and one sister, Edith Fletcher and husband, Ray.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Manuel Popps and Neva Marie Leger Popps; one brother, Daniel Popps; and two sons-in-law, Mark Allen Triplette and Keith Latiolais.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville.
