Scott Andrepont, a lifelong resident of Opelousas, was called home at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at the age of 56.
Scott was an employee of Endbridge for 34 years. Scott was an avid bowler at Lafayette Lanes with his father, brother, and teammates. He enjoyed watching football, especially the New Orleans Saints, one of the Greatest moments in his life was when the Saints won the Superbowl. He also enjoyed watching LSU football. Scott began sketching at an early age and his talent blossomed into pastel portraits, airbrushing and wood burning. Scott was a faithful servant of God and through his God given talent he freely gifted others with portraits of Christ. Scott will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all those who loved him or had the pleasure of meeting him. He never met a stranger. Those who knew him say that his love of Christ reflected in everything he did. His kindness and gentle heart were as great as was his stature; some called him a gentle giant, others called him a big teddy bear.
Scott is survived by his wife of 34 years who was his high school sweetheart, Becky Andrepont of Opelousas; his son, Nathan Andrepont of Washington; his mother, Juanita Page Andrepont of Opelousas; his brother, Thomas Dean Andrepont and his wife, Hedy of Scott; and his sisters, Jackie Thibodeaux and husband, Tony of Opelousas; and Janet Miller and husband, Terry of Opelousas. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Palmas and Eveltine Andrepont, and A B and Hazel Page; his father, Benny J Andrepont; and his sister, Judy Andrepont.
Private graveside services were held previously at the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.
