James "Larry" Gremillion

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James “Larry” Gremillion, age 68, on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Heritage Manor in Opelousas, La.

Visiting will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Larry was a loving father and grandfather. He adored his family and grandchildren. He loved watching football, especially LSU and the Saints. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his daughter, Rachael Gremillion Doucet and her husband, Chris; his sons, Logan Gremillion and his wife, Chassidy, Seth Gremillion; his sister Bonnie Gremillion; his grandchildren, Spencer Gremillion, Paige Goodwin and her husband, Lucas,  Nicholas Taylor, Ann Elise Gremillion, and Ayden Gremillion; and his great grandchildren, Jace Goodwin, Everleigh Goodwin, Weston Gremillion, and Graham Gremillion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Gremillion and Patricia Soileau; his grandson, David Taylor Jr.; and his brother, Johnny Gremillion.
