James Wallace, Sr.

Krotz Springs- Funeral services for Mr. James J. Wallace, Sr., age 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Smith, Pastor of the Jesus Ministry of Baton Rouge will conduct the service.

Mr. Wallace died on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 1:30 a.m. in the Opelousas General Health System.

James Wallace, Sr. loved the Lord and he used every opportunity to share and teach the word of the Lord with everyone that he came into contact.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald Wallace, James Wallace, Jr. and wife Brigette all of Krotz Springs and Samuel Hugh Wallace and wife Rhonda of Maryville, TN; three daughters, Bethany Carr and husband David, Kathryn Wallace, and Nancy W. Ellis and husband James Glenn all of Krotz Springs; two sisters, Elaine Johnson of Krotz Springs and Elizabeth Belgraade and husband Irvin of San Jose, California and 16 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Desotell Wallace; parents, Samuel Hugh Wallace and Dolly Triplette Wallace; two brothers, T.D. Wallace and Samuel Hugh Wallace, Jr.; three sisters, Laura Emberton, Mini Trappey, and Fredith Wallace.

Visiting will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs starting Monday, December 21, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
