James Vige

Opelousas Funeral services for James A. Vige, age 80, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA, followed by interment in the St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell, LA. The Reverend Benji Richard will conduct the service

Mr. Vige, a resident of Port Barre, La., died on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.

James enjoyed BarBQs and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include special friend, Ruby Hebert of Port Barre, La. his brothers, George Vige and wife, Mildred, of Gonzales, La. Warnell Vige and wife, Sharon, of Baytown, Texas Bobby Vige of Baytown, Texas his sisters, Virlena Vige Jones of Tom Ball, Texas and Geraldine Vige Shagen and husband, John of Spokane, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virley and Hazel Pitre Vige.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
