James Lacombe, Sr.

Opelousas- Funeral services for James LaCombe, Sr., age 72, will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2009, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the services.

Mr. LaCombe who was a native of Fordoche, LA and a longtime resident of Port Barre died at 9:10 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2009 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. LaCombe is survived by his son, James LaCombe, Jr. of Opelousas; his daughters, Pam LaCombe, Sheila LaCombe and Lisa Doyle and her husband, Ike, all of Port Barre; his brothers, Wallace LaCombe and his wife, Norma, of Baton Rouge; Russell LaCombe of Opelousas; his sisters, Rita Viator and her husband, Johnny, of Duson; Gloria Stelly of Port Barre; Audry Cummings and her husband, Kenneth, of Opelousas; Linda McCormick and her husband, Karl, of Opelousas and JoAnn Franchebois and her husband, Leo, of Opelousas. He is also survived by her four grandchildren, Dakin Doyle, Alexis Doyle, Carson Doyle all of Port Barre and Brooke LaCombe of Denham Springs.

Mr. LaCombe was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Gay LaCombe, his parents, Gabriel and Dalmadel LaCombe and his brother, Walter Lee LaCombe.

Visiting will begin on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
