James Floyd

A Mass of Christian Burial for James Jimmy Pink Floyd will be held on Monday August 22, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church of Krotz Springs, LA. The interment will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Chanh Nguyen will celebrate the mass.

Mr. Floyd, age 63, a resident of Krotz Springs died Friday August 19, 2011 at his residence. H e was a retired tool room supervisor at Alon, an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved to cook, especially frying fish.

Survivors include his wife Corrine Stermer Floyd of Krotz Springs, LA, son Bailey James Floyd of Krotz Springs, daughter Erica Lee Edwards and husband Phillip of Krotz Springs, brother Ralph Edward Floyd of Iowa, sisters Elizabeth Anne Dill of Donaldsonville and Lora Pauline Cole of Draper, Utah, two grandchildren Isaiah Edwards and Isabella Edwards, two step grandchildren Brittany Edwards and Dylan Edwards and one God child Megan Barnes of Prairieville, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Floyd and Lila Tousineau, brother Donald Floyd and a sister Dean Hilton.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday August 21, 2011 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and will reopen on Monday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 5:00 pm

The pallbearers will be Chris Fontenot, Mike Cormier, Larry Dupont, Jr., Carroll Snyder, Ricky Nezat and Grant Colburn. Musical selections will be by Mandy Myers and the readers will be Jaylynn Kaiser and Marilyn Riley.
