James Ellis

Krotz Springs - Funeral services for James Fat-Boy Ellis, age 23, will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the church cemetery.

Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Mr. Ellis died on Monday, August 4, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

James was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his two children, Zachery and Nicole Ellis of New Iberia, La.; his father and step-mother, Edward and Jennie Ellis of Port Barre, La.; his mother and step-father, Connie and Jerry Dupont of Krotz Springs, La.; his two sisters, Dana Vidrine and her husband, Cory, of Krotz Springs, La. and Georgie Disotell and her husband, Kenry, of Krotz Springs, La.; his two step-sisters, Tammy Ponton and Jennifer Guidroz of Port Barre, La.; his step-brother, Nicholas Rudolph of Port Barre, La.; his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Sandra Mason of Krotz Springs, La.; his paternal grandparents, Lendon Ellis of Jonesville, La. and Joann Wilson of Monticello, Mississippi. He is also survived by his Uncle Oscar; Nanny Terry; Uncle Pooh-Boy and Aunt Tiffany all of Krotz Springs, La. and his Aunt Tiny; Uncle BoJames; Aunt Jenny and Steve Tassin of Foresthill, La.; Uncle Leroy and Aunt Debra of Jonesville, La.; Uncle Kevin and Tammy Beard of Harrisonburg, La. and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his Uncle Hanky, Paw-Paw Smokey and Step-Father, Pat. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Pallbearers are: Trey Mason; Tony Pooh-Boy Mason; Oscar Mason; Nick Rudolph; Lil Johnny Coates and Eric Hutto.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 3 p.m. until time of service.
