JAMES RICHARD COURVILLE

Funeral services for Mr. James Richard Courville, will be held on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs with the interment in the Church Cemetery. Brother Chad Balfa, Brother Rocky Warden and Brother Ken Courville will conduct the services.

Mr. Courville, age 70, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Opelousas General Health System. He was a commander of the VFW Post 8678 and a founder of the Reed-Davis Honor Guard. He was also a member of UA Local 198, the Krotz Springs Masonic Lodge 434 and the first Baptist Church in Krotz Springs.

He is survived by a son; Michael Courville of Krotz Springs, a daughter; Monika C. Harper also of Krotz Springs, 2 sisters; Betty Soileau of Krotz Springs and Mary L. Fontana of Independence. Mr. Courville is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Verdie Ducote Courville and his father Archille Courville.

Visitation will be on Thursday, from 3;00PM to 10;00PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00AM until the time of service. .The family has requested that donations my be made to; Shriners Hospital or to St. Judes Hospital.

The Pallbearers will be; Jordan Courville, Matthew Courville, Billy Homan, Gary Soileau, Donald Williams and Brian Leach.
